Shimano Dura-Ace BB92, BB9000 Hollowtech II Bottom Brackets

BSA is another way of stating English threading. The initialization comes from Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm-wide, 34mm-inside-diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit allows you to fit 30mm cranks, like those from Rotor, to fit in the tight space of this 34mm spindle. Choose between two bearings types for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our CeramicSpeed Balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. Note that the threaded extensions of this BB's cups that thread into the frame are thin, as they need to fit a 30mm spindle inside the cups. CeramicSpeed standard bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. That's thanks to balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The bearings last at least 3x longer than other bearings. BBright is the Cervelo bottom bracket standard found on most of their frames, save the P5. In order to fit Shimano and FSA cranks into this oversized shell, this bottom bracket, complete with CeramicSpeed Bearings, needs to be pressed in. The BBright bottom bracket comes with either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings installed. Super smooth, super-round CeramicSpeed Balls contained in hardened-steel races are found on both versions. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in lower drag and longer life. BBright is similar to BB30, but is wider on the non-drive side. As such, the bottom bracket for running 24mm diameter cranks from Shimano, FSA, and others, is unique. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Our solution for running a 30mm spindle crankset in a BSA threaded frame. Machined aluminum cups thread in to a standard threaded frame and feature Enduro 6806 ABEC-3 sealed bearings outboard of the BB shell. Fully serviceable. Notes: For use with 30mm diameter cranks with a spindle length of at least 104mm when used in a 68mm wide BB shell. This is the overall spindle length with all spacers and adjusters removed from the spindle. Measurement is taken from the inside face of the crank arm to the very end of the spindle.
