Zipp's 3ZERO MOTO carbon 29 enduro/trail wheelset is inspired by moto to provide riders with the control and durability required for pure trail speed. Following directly in the tire tracks of the Terra CLX, the new Terra CL utilizes the same super-light, incredibly tough rim as our flagship wheel. It's a hook-bead, 33mm deep carbon fiber rim with a 25mm inner width that plays well with tubeless setup and allows you to mount tires anywhere from 28mm to 47mm wide at whatever pressure you feel like running. In a nod to accessibility, durability and real-world serviceability, we opted to use ultra-dependable DT Swiss 350 hubs and lace them to the rims with DT Swiss Competition Straightpull spokes. Designed and CNC machined by Project321 in Bend, Oregon, M-pulse freehubs feature 6 pawls with Neodymium magnets that lock into place with greater force than conventional pawl springs, but offer virtually no resistance when coasting. Multiple teeth on each pawl offer better load distribution for years of trouble-free riding, and the angle of the pawls was engineered to transfer stress away from the rotating bearings, decreasing stress and wear on the entire freehub. That durability extends to the 17mm axles machined of 7075 aluminum and the full complement of Enduro brand bearings, including a double-row freehub bearing.
