This is our Excellent Adventure Thru-Axle. It upgrades your bike's rear end for hauling cargo trailers, should you feel like taking Rufus along on your errands. Extensive product testing with our Bill and Ted Trailers provided an "awesome experience," but time travel remains a risky endeavor. Designed for use with slotted horizontal or vertical single-position dropouts, the Excellent Adventure Axle is compatible only with 12 x 148mm hubs. Compatible Surly models include Skid Loader, our compact electric cargo bike, as well as Karate Monkey, Krampus, Grappler, Ogre, Lowside, ECR, and Troll. Once again, the 12 x 148mm hub requirement cannot be overstated. Perfect for cross country skiing or snow shoeing, the Ski Kit attaches to the wheel axle with a push button system. The adjustable, lightweight tow bars connect to the trailer side mounts and lead to a padded hip harness. Tow bars connect to the harness where multiple attachment points allow for a perfect fit.

The Steel Hitch provides the critical connection from your Burley Trailer to your bicycle. The hitch installs easily on the rear skewer of your bike, and then stays attached so the Burley can be connected at any time. Use this coupler to attach your Instep or Schwinn Trailer to almost any bike. Burley's Travoy Universal Bag Clips allow you to make your own bag attach securely to your Travoy trailer (sold separately).

Burley's Classic Hitch makes a great replacement for lost or damaged hitches. This replacement hitch attaches to the trailer's tow bar and switches easily between traditional bike frames.

This adapter spaces out the Steel Hitch allowing bike frames with hooded/tight rear dropouts to have hitch clearance. This adapter is also used in breezer style dropout applications for proper hitch installation.

Burley's Travoy Rack Mount lets you connect your Travoy trailer to your bicycle rack rather than your seatpost (trailer, rack, and hitch sold separately).

This part connects the trailer with a round tow bar to the hitch. It attaches inside the tow bar and locks in place inside the hitch using a retaining pin (Standard Forged Hitch & Steel Hitch) or bolt and nut (Classic Hitch). This flexible connector can stretch easily to allow the rider to lay down the bike. Includes safety strap with retaining pin for use with the Standard Forged Hitch or Steel Hitch. If being used with the Classic Hitch the Classic Hitch Safety Strap (part 950067) will also need to be purchased.
